I spent some time with a young friend today (she's 16) and we talked a bit about Twitter. She uses it with her friends and some really old lady in England. (Even I agree with "really old" to describe someone who is apparently 104.) I was curious about how she and I fit the demographics of Twitter-users, so I went to Google and found this, based on a PEW report –
So, according to PEW, I'm part of 4% of my age group and teens aren't even mentioned. The median age is 31, so neither she nor I fit there.
So I searched a little further, and found this –
Nielsen NetView has quite different numbers, four times as many for my age group as the PEW results.
So who should I believe? And why?Joan Vinall-Cox, PhD (905) 845-4620
