Sometimes I think I’m doing the smart thing, only to find out later, that it wasn’t so smart. I’ve just put myself in a position where I have to learn more about file management when it comes to ftp, hosts, and WordPress sites. I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but there’s no image on this post. I believe visuals are extremely important and rarely upload a post without including a visual. I’d like to here, but …
all that happens when I try to insert a visual into this post is that I get this url – http://joanvinallcox.ca/wp-admin/media-upload.php?type=image&tab=library&post_id=46 – and no image. And no way back to my dashboard except by the back button or by reopening the site.
I think the problem is in the file layout, but it could be a bug because, in both my sites, I updated to WordPress 3.0 and to Atahaulpa351 on the same day, and both are really new. If I want to add images, I have some unavoidable learning to do.
And the tags don’t work either!
Phoned my host, Netfirms, and got advice. I was told to deactivate the plug-in “Headspace”, so I did. Now let’s see what happens –
And to the left is the image that wouldn’t upload before I deactivated Headspace, showing what the new WordPress default theme, Twenty Ten looks like in this site of mine. The tags work now too!
